Thiruvananthapuram: State govt has transferred four IAS officers, including the Wayanad district collector. Incumbent director of scheduled tribes development department Meghasree D R has been appointed as the new collector for Wayanad. She replaces Renu Raj, who has been transferred as director of scheduled tribes development department. The officer will also now serve as special officer of tribal resettlement and development mission.
Director of fisheries department Adeela Abdulla has been transferred and posted as the director of agriculture development and farmers’ welfare department.

Vegetable scientist Nagendra Rai appointed IIVR executive director
Nagendra Rai appointed as the executive director of the Indian Institute of Vegetable Research in Varanasi, filling the vacancy left by Tusar Kanti Behera who became the director of IIHR in Bengaluru. Rai received his degrees from Acharya Narendra Dev University of Agriculture and Technology in Ayodhya and Banaras Hindu University.
