SHIMLA: While addressing his maiden election rally in Shimla on Wednesday, AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge targeted BJP for not having internal democracy in the party. He said that he has been elected president by 9000 delegates of the party and everyone saw his election while no one knows who have elected J P Nadda as the BJP national president for the second time. He said that there is democracy in Congress whereas elections are held by nomination in BJP.
While addressing an election rally at Banuti under Shimla (Rural) assembly constituency, Kharge said that Congress government in the state would fulfil all its promises. He said that BJP leaders questions Congress by saying that what it has done in the country in last 70 years. He asked the BJP to tell whether the network of roads, hospitals, schools and colleges existing in the country including Himachal, came up only during last 8 years.
He said that BJP has been trying to mislead the people of the country as before coming to power, BJP had talked about giving employment to 2 crore youth every year but today 14 lakh posts are lying vacant in government departments in the country while 65000 posts are vacant in Himachal Pradesh on which recruitments are not done. He said that young people are on the streets while the GDP of the country is falling and the BJP government at the Centre is not paying any attention to this. He said that BJP has been doing only “jumlebaazi”. He said that whatever promises the Congress makes, it fulfils them.
Kharge said that the BJP government is making tall claims of providing employment, but it is only a jumlebaazi. He said that BJP can mislead the people of some states but there are educated people in Himachal Pradesh and it is not going to fall under any of its traps.
