PM Modi to gift G20 leaders various items from Himachal | India News

NEW DELHI: The art and culture of poll-bound Himachal Pradesh will have a significant representation at the upcoming G20 as PM Modi will greet the world leaders with various gifts from the state with an aim to give a boost to the spread of Himachal’s art and culture globally.
PM will give Chamba rumals, Kangra miniature paintings, Kinnauri Shawl, Himachali Mukhate, Kullu Shawl, Kanal Brass Set to various world leaders.
During the G20 Summit in Bali scheduled to be held on November 15-16, India will take over the G20 presidency from Indonesia. India’s tenure will continue till November 20, 2023. The Prime Minister released the logo for India’s presidency on Tuesday.
“This would give a boost to the spread of Himachal’s art and culture globally,” they said and added, “The art and culture of Himachal would travel far and wide to various countries.”
PM who spent considerable time in Himachal Pradesh as a BJP functionary in charge of the state has tried to popularise the culture of the state earlier too. He recently recalled wearing the Himachali cap during a visit to Israel and having gifted a painting of Radha Krishna to visiting PM of Nepal. He also wore the chola dora, a loose fitting winter dress, during his visit to Kedarnath before Deepawali.
