Bhubneshwar Food Festival dazzled by singing duo Sukriti and Prakriti Kakar

Known for their exceptional musical prowess and captivating stage presence, Sukriti and Prakriti Kakar, have been winning hearts with their performances across the nation. Their recent appearance in Bhubaneswar drew around 10,000 enthusiastic fans who eagerly awaited their performance despite the pouring rain. 

Both Sukriti and Prakriti Kakar have contributed to the Indian music scene through their playback singing in Bollywood movies and independent music projects. They are known for their energetic performances, charming personalities, and ability to bring a unique touch to the songs they sing.

Sukriti Kakar is the elder sister of the duo. She started her career by participating in the reality TV show “Indian Idol” in 2005. While she didn`t win the competition, her appearance on the show helped her gain some recognition. She made her playback singing debut in Bollywood with the song “Pehli Nazar Mein” from the movie “Race” in 2008. However, her breakthrough came later with songs like “Kar Gayi Chull” from “Kapoor & Sons” (2016) and “Ban Ja Rani” from “Tumhari Sulu” (2017).

Prakriti Kakar is the younger sister of the duo. She also began her career by participating in a singing reality show called “Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar” in 2009. Similar to Sukriti, Prakriti made her playback singing debut in Bollywood with the song “Bheegh Loon” from the movie “Khamoshiyan” in 2015. She gained further recognition with songs like “Katra Katra” from “Alone” (2015) and “Hawaa Banke” from “Yeh Saali Aashiqui” (2019).

Bhubaneswar Food Festival witnessed an electrifying performance by the sensational singing duo, Sukriti and Prakriti Kakar, popularly known as SuPra. The event, in association with Swiggy, proved to be a night to remember, as the talented sisters enthralled the audience with their melodious voices and infectious energy.

The playlist featured their chart-topping tracks, including “Jhoome Jo Pathan,” “Pehli Baar” (from the movie “Dil Dhadakne Do”), “Kya SAY,” “Gazab Ka Hai Din,” “Kehndi Haan Kehndi Naa,” “Hum Tum,” and “Maafiyaan.” Each song resonated with the audience, who passionately sang along, making the night a delightful sing-along affair.
