An awareness session on cyber hygeine was held for the Army personnel by the North Zone police of Hyderabad on Saturday (August 30) at the Roperia Auditorium, Bison Division, Secunderabad.

The session was led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (North Zone) S. Rashmi Perumal along with the ACP Trimulgherry, SHO Bollarum, NZCC Inspector and other staff. The initiative aimed to sensitise defence personnel about growing cyber threats, online frauds and safe digital practices.

Addressing the gathering, the DCP stressed the importance of cyber hygiene, safe use of smartphones, precautions while engaging on social media and vigilance during online financial transactions. The event also featured interactive sessions, where Army officers shared their experiences and raised queries, to which the officials assured responses and follow-up.

Nearly 200 Army officers and personnel took part in the programme and welcomed the effort by the North Zone Police. Officials said the initiative was intended to build awareness and strengthen cooperation between the Armed Forces and Police in addressing cybercrime.
