Andhra Pradesh Governor launches live streaming of State Information Commission case hearings

To ensure transparency and accountability in the service delivery mechanism of the State Information Commission, which functions under the Right to Information Act, Andhra Pradesh Governor Syed Abdul Nazeer on Monday virtually launched the live streaming of case hearings.

After launching the initiative at the court hall of Chief Information Commissioner R. Mahaboob Basha, the Governor said that live streaming would strengthen public trust in the institution. He also suggested that the proceedings in the chambers of all Commissioners be livestreamed.

Central Chief Information Commissioner Heeralal Samariya also took part in the event.
