Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) Secretary P. Raja Babu has announced that the results of all examinations conducted by the Commission will be released by the end of September. He also urged candidates to exercise utmost care while filling out OMR (Optical Mark Reader) sheets during exams.

Addressing a press conference at the APPSC office on Monday, Mr. Raja Babu warned that even minor mistakes on OMR sheets could jeopardize a candidate’s future. “Any tampering, such as corrections, strike-offs, erasing with nails, or use of whitener, will render the sheet invalid,” he said, adding that candidates must use only black or blue pens to fill in the sheets. The Secretary informed that the Forest Beat Officer, Assistant Beat Officer, and Forest Section Officer exams are scheduled for September 7. Question papers will be provided in four series (A, B, C, D), and candidates must carefully fill in the corresponding OMR circles. Since these exams carry one-third negative marking, he urged aspirants to answer cautiously.

On the issue of delayed results, Mr. Raja Babu clarified that court cases are the main reason. “Results of Deputy EOs and FROs are pending due to litigation. Group-1 and Group-2 results will be announced once legal hurdles are cleared. Similarly, results of the Pollution Control Board exam are ready, but disputes over qualifications are holding them back,” he explained. Mr. Rajababu stated that APPSC has so far issued notifications for 1,600 posts, with 16 more notifications expected by the end of the month. “We are committed to completing the evaluation transparently and releasing results at the earliest,” he assured.

The Secretary also dismissed misleading information being circulated on social media about APPSC. Regarding women’s reservation (horizontal), he said related disputes have delayed the declaration of some results despite the evaluation being completed.

APPSC Additional Secretary I.N. Murthy and Joint Secretaries K.V. Prasad and G.K. Prasoon were also present.
